Think. Think. Think

People dont THINK and then they say that I over-think!
I agree at times i do tend to over-think but duh ..not always! There is a thin line between thinking and over-thinking ..and over-thinking only gets in negativity but that shouldnt stop u from thinking. Introspection is such an important thing. U need to question urself every now and then ..

People just avoid thinking and questioning themselves coz they're afraid to know themselves. Once u discover some things about yourself, u never knew ..it would require u to change those things which u've always believed in without any reason. This obviously is a huge task. Thus, why think! UGH. Unbelievable.

And the worst part is when some people close to u are like that ..
it takes them ages to become aware of the things that are OBVIOUS to u!

P.S: I dont suffer from a superiority complex ..but at times i cant help wondering why people are so dumb.

Lateral thinking can save our life, as illustrated in this story. Two men were on a jungle safari in Africa. Suddenly, they came across a tiger that started roaring.
Both men were frightened and one of them started wearing his shoes. The other one said: "How is this going to help? We can't outrun the tiger." The first man replied: "I don't have to outrun the tiger, I only have to outrun you." Hahaha

Well in my opinion, there are times when you need to think and there are times when you should definitely over-think-- over-thinking doesnt always give you negative results. Sometimes they help you weigh all your options as well.
and there are definitely times when you should not think and just go with what your heart desires.
Now the trick is to decide when that "time" is :-)

EXACTLY! so basically, its just a bit of sense one must have to recognize the right 'time'

i think ur being a bit one sided.. i don't hate to think.. i love it.. if there was a job where i was free to think anything ... i'd fight for it hands down...

may be i'm being one sided too but just wanted to give out my opinion...

PS:new theme.. carry on... just don't change too often..

Hmm...why so judgmental?

Just because others don't appear introspective doesn't necessarily mean they aren't. :)

My experiences tell me humans as such don't like their flaws being pointed out, however apparent they may be to you. It's how we're wired. Sure there are the "friends", "well-wishers", and those who provide "constructive criticism", but introspection is something I like to do only in the most private of my moments.

Someone who points out that I'm an idiot would probably get a very cold stare from me. It may be true, and his intentions may be "noble". May be he just wants me to become less dumb. But why the hell is it any of its business?

So I may appear dumb, careless, carefree, whatever. But I'm very much in touch with my shortcomings and fallacies, though obviously I hate mentioning them to all and sundry.

Ofc there are exceptions : Parents, close friends. But they're just that.

If the people around you whom you find "unthinking" are someone whom you're very close to, they'll have no problem if you point out their foibles to them.

Otherwise, my experiences tell me you'll just come across as someone very snooty and judgmental.

"Judge not, lest ye be judged."

Juz my 2 paise.

PS: First time commenting on your blog. Been lurking for a long time. You have a really nice blog. Hope you keep up the good writing.

yes, i get what u'r saying. introspection is a private thing and i dont expect each and every person to come and discuss it with me. im talking about people close to me ..whom i've spoken to about everything possible ..and from the conversations we've had, i boiled down to this conclusion.
i even have a friend who once admitted that recently she has stopped having her 'introspection sessions' because she gets too stressed.

im sorry, but im not being judgemental here coz my judgements are based on observations and not just notions
my bad ..maybe my post seems to say something else.

thank you so much akshay! i really appreciate ur comment :)
keep coming and do give ur views!

and another thing, the 'people' im talking about are people im close to and whom i know very well i've told them this as well.
