It's how we're wired. Sure there are the "friends", "well-wishers", and those who provide "constructive criticism", but introspection is something I like to do only in the most private of my moments.

Someone who points out that I'm an idiot would probably get a very cold stare from me. It may be true, and his intentions may be "noble". May be he just wants me to become less dumb. But why the hell is it any of its business?

So I may appear dumb, careless, carefree, whatever. But I'm very much in touch with my shortcomings and fallacies, though obviously I hate mentioning them to all and sundry.

Ofc there are exceptions : Parents, close friends. But they're just that.

If the people around you whom you find "unthinking" are someone whom you're very close to, they'll have no problem if you point out their foibles to them.

Otherwise, my experiences tell me you'll just come across as someone very snooty and judgmental.

"Judge not, lest ye be judged."

Juz my 2 paise.

PS: First time commenting on your blog. Sometimes they help you weigh all your options as well.
and there are definitely times when you should not think and just go with what your heart desires.
Now the trick is to decide when that "time" is :-)WritingsForLifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15222395399977749183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-410566061514713104.post-40062761733035326002009-10-20T10:04:17.076-07:002009-10-20T10:04:17.076-07:00@Diwakar Sinha: :)

Two men were on a jungle safari in Africa. Suddenly, they came across a tiger that started roaring.
Both men were frightened and one of them started wearing his shoes. The other one said: "How is this going to help? We can't outrun the tiger." The first man replied: "I don't have to outrun the tiger, I only have to outrun you."
